Q. When I access a video from the portal, I get the following message
Microsoft Runtime Required (or Error), and the slides won't come up on the screen.

A. If you never had Microsoft Power Point installed on your computer, or you have a relatively older operating system,
you will need to download the MS runtime protocol. The link is:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4033A84A-24C7-40B2-8783-D80ADA33CFF8&displaylang=EN

Click Download, and save the file msorun.exe to your hard drive. Then, run the program from the hard drive, and it will install
the necessary component to allow the slides to run without PowerPoint.

Optionally, if you need a PowerPoint viewer, you can download the PowerPoint 2007 Viewer free from Microsoft.

Q. I am using a PC computer, and the video won't play, or the message says I need Windows Media Player

A. Download Windows Media Player:
Go to the Windows Media Player download page:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology
On this page, you would click the "Select Version" pull-down, and select the appropriate player for your operating system.
All videos on the web portal will work with Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
Q. I am using a MAC computer, and when I select a presentation, I do not get the video.
A. You need the Windows Media Plug-in or Flip4Mac software. Both are available at the above Windows Media Player download link,
or go directly to the Windows Media Component plug-in for Quicktime:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx

Q. I have installed Flip4Mac and when I click on a presentation, I get the QuickTime Player with a "?" and no video.

A. Make sure that the Flip4Mac browser plug-in option is enabled on your MAC computer.
Open  the Flip4Mac WMV preference pane and click the Browser Tab, and then check the option "User Flip4Mac WMV Browser plug-in"
This will change the browser plug-in settings as needed.

Then, go back to the video portal, and select a presentation. You may need to click the browser "reload" arrow,
which is to the right of the URL line in Safari, and to the left of the "X" in Firefox.
